About SSE Riga FC
The SSE Riga Finance Challenge is an international competition for university students from all over the world, which is unique in the Baltics. Finance Challenge has always been a summit of knowledge. Its main task is to gather students and bring international competitiveness spirit into SSE Riga, it also serves as a milestone for checking the knowledge and comparing ourselves against an international benchmark. The Finance Challenge is so unique because of people that participate, because of those who foster international friendship and knowledge sharing. Participants will get an opportunity to apply their knowledge in Economics and Finance in practice as well as to win valuable prizes amounting to EUR 1500!
- 25 May – 12 June
- Prize pool – 1500 EUR
Team requirements
In order to participate, we require you to form teams of 3 or 4. You have to come up with a name for your team (in case the name comes out to be inappropriate, iFund has the right to deny participation). There should be only one application per team. If you cannot form a team, you might still register; all individual applicants will be randomly assigned into teams of 3 or 4. Based on our experience, your chances are way higher if you form your own team.
- Team of three or four undergraduate students
Knowledge tested
In cooperation with our sponsors, all finance professionals, we have prepared a range of tasks for the first round covering Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Valuation, Investment Banking and Portfolio Management. You will have to choose the right answer in our platform, so the grading will be fully automatic and transparent. In the second round, you will deal with a valuation case. Some questions will be graded automatically and some you will be asked to present to our judges.
